As a new school teacher, I needed some fun decorative items to add to my self-made classroom assignments, newsletters, and classroom posters. My logical choice was stamps.
Over the years, I put those stamps away and moved to electronic images. This continued for many years until a friend of mine taught a stamping class. At first I was so stressed out, trying to make my card look as beautiful as hers. But after the first few cards, I started to relax and remember how much I had enjoyed my earlier stamping experiences. I started attending classes at her home and before long had quite a collection of Stampin' Up! products. All of the products were just so wonderful and fun to "play" with. I found myself enjoying stamping so much I figured I might as well become a demonstrator. I have never regretted that decision. I began by holding a few classes for the other teachers at my school and soon they were as excited as I was about stamping. They began inviting their friends and soon we had a little group that loved to get together to stamp. They have become some of my dearest friends.
So here I am, twenty years later, still enjoying being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and looking forward to the time when I can teach stamping full time and spend more time with my friends doing even more stamping! Being a demonstrator is so satisfying because you are doing something that is very creative, that makes people feel happy, and helps others enjoy the feeling of accomplishment and success. There is nothing better than the smile on someone's face when they finish making their cards or projects and say, "Wow, I made this!"
Please join in the fun at one of my upcoming stamping events!
Happy Stamping!

During November's Stamping Fun Night, everyone had the opportunity to make Thanksgiving Placecards (treat boxes) using the Little Treats Bundle and Gather Together stamp set. Everyone had a wonderful time creating their two other projects. We meet outside on my patio, wore masks, used hand sanitizer, and socially distanced. It helped bring a little "normalcy" back into our lives as we created together. Hope you're able to find your "happy place" as well.
